The process of making an NPC and saving it seems so simple but I don't know what I'm doing wrong >_<

#Editing npc meshes in skyrim npc editor mod#
I've tried a number of things, such as saving them to the desktop, then copying them to the data folder, using TES Mod Manager to un-corrupt the files, Unchecking and checking various boxes for the mod in both Nexus Mod Manager and Data Files, and I excluded all mods in the plugin settings in the editor except for skyrim.esm, update.esm and ApachiiHair.esm, but STILL but nothing works. EasyNPC is a little bit smarter than this - for example, it knows the difference between plugins that edit NPC faces and plugins that edit other aspects of an NPC - but at the present time, these build checks are not. I thought I had everything in the right place and did everything right, but the game crashes after it gets to the main menu. Getting back to Skyrim NPCs: the safe thing is for every facegen mesh to be accompanied by an NPC record edit, and vice versa. The readme said not to include the mod in the load list in the Nexus Mod Manager, so I didn't, I just ticked the mod in the data files in the game's launch menu. I've tried so many solutions, but none worked for this problem! I had the save to BSA box ticked, and put it in the data folder. This does not happen when I uncheck the NPC mod in the data files in the launch, or remove the files. It gets to the main menu with the skyrim dragon, but none of the menu options load, then it just closes or crashes to the desktop. Now, my dilemma is that the program runs fine, everything is okay when creating my NPC, BUT Skyrim crashes when I load it. You can change what faction they're in, whats in their inventory, what spells they use, what clothes they're wearing, and like a crapload more. It's called Skyrim NPC Editor, where you can take ANY NPC in the game, and change hair, eyes, mouth, it's pretty much a character creation like you do at the start of the game, but for NPCs. But still I would be curious whether theres also a default weaponry for NPCs or what variable is influencing their fall-back weapons.I hate coming here to dA to ask for help cuz it just feels weird, but I seriously can't get this stupid program to work and I can't find answers anywhere else. I know I can use removeallitems and since resetting her inventory is not triggered by the bow, it's not a big deal. How can I remove the default weapons of a NPC from the the game? Or maybe you are still missing this in your mod? But she still had her Hunting Bow equipped and it was not showing in her inventory. But to answer your question, to fix it, you do what you would normally do to edit an NPC, then. Saving textures and meshes to BSA files. Its called Skyrim NPC Editor, where you can take ANY. Editable plugins load order for editor, include/exclude setting page.

Load plugins (.esp) and master files (.esm) data. After removing the Default Outfit all apparel items that were before hidden appeared in the inventory that is accessible through tallking to her. (See FAQs below for New NPC issues) - Warpaints/Makeups/Skintone Editing. PS: There seems to be a Default Weapons inventory, too.

Now how do I get my companion to update her facial features without resetting her completely? Is that even possible? How do I even reset her completely? I haven't even figured that out yet. I guess this is the best way to achieve this, so that I can dress her up with whatever I like, especially plain clothes. So I have already used this editor to set the default inventory of my follower (Brelyna Maryon) to NONE, so that when I remove her boots, which normally triggers the inventory reset on this character, is not giving her her old stuff back. It take it that the values shown in the editor are the default values.
